Interviews with the Administrator and Assistant Administrator revealed that staff are not permitted to leave clients unsupervised. The Administrator and Assistant Administrator stated that facility staff are assigned specific clients each day to provide care and supervision based on the clients' needs. Interview with Client 2 (C2) could not confirm or refute the allegation due to C2's cognitive limitations. Interview with Staff 3 (S3) revealed that facility staff encourages clients to remain indoors on days when temperatures are high and redirects clients to indoor activities. S3 further stated that, regardless of whether clients are indoors or outdoors, three (3) staff members are present during each shift to provide adequate care and supervision to all clients.
Based on the information obtained through interviews and record review, there is insufficient evidence to verify the allegation. Therefore, the allegation is deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED at this time.
