13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janira Arreola made an unannounced visit to the facility for the purpose of a complaint investigation. LPA was greeted by Adminsitrator, Patrick Mcadoo Morton who was informed of the purpose of the visit.
LPA conducted staff and resident interviews, and records review for residents relevant to the investigation. Concerning the first allegation "Resident is being over medicated while in care", based on staff interviews, and records review of MARS, and resident prescribed medication the allegation is unsubstantiated. Staff interviews and resident records suggested no recent medical errors within the last month, and MARS log showed medication was being administered as prescribed. Concerning allegation, "Resident is not allowed telephone calls", based on resident interviews, staff interviews, and LPA observation residents are offered telephone calls on facility phone and wireless phones. There is no evidence to suggest that the resident (R1) is being excluded from using these phones. Therefore this allegation is unsubstatiated. Regarding allegation, "Resident is not accorded privacy" based on staff and resident interviews, it was corroberated that residents are afforded privacy in their rooms and during visitations. Further, interviews were consitent in refrencing on particular visitation with (R1) which was conducted in the facility dinning room. The current areas for visitation at the facility based on staff interviews are the patio, dinning rooms, and resident bedrooms. Based on this, the allegation is unsubstantiated.
A finding of unsubstatiated means that the proponerdance of the evidence standard has not been met in order to suggest that the allegations did or did not occur.
No defeciencies were cited at the time of the visit. An exit interview was conducted where a copy of this report was reviewed and provided to facility Administrator, Patrick Mcadoo Morton.
