32 | R1’s physician’s report dated September 19, 2025, indicated that R1 had a history of demanding medication immediately. LPA conducted an interview with R1, who stated that they just received their medication on February 19, 2026. R1 stated that the hospital staff where R1 had surgery sent the prescription to a wrong pharmacy in Indio, California, so R1’s medication had to be re-routed, and now R1 received it on February 19, 2026.
Based on records review and interviews conducted, the evidence found during the investigation did not meet the preponderance of evidence standard. Therefore, this allegation is unsubstantiated at this time.
It was alleged that staff do not maintain facility at a comfortable temperature for residents in care. Information received indicated that the facility was so cold that some residents wear hoodies and jackets.
LPA conducted an interview with Resident #1 (R1), who stated that their room temperature was comfortable and warm enough, but it was too cold in the hallways and dining area. LPA conducted interviews with five (5) residents, all of whom stated that staff maintained comfortable temperatures throughout the facility. LPA toured the facility and observed the temperatures at three (3) common areas of the facility. They were 73, 74, and another 74 degrees Fahrenheit which were within the regulatory temperature ranges.
Based on records review and interviews conducted, the evidence found during the investigation did not meet the preponderance of evidence standard. Therefore, this allegation is unsubstantiated at this time. A finding that the complaint is UNSUBSTANTIATED means the allegation may have happened or is valid, but there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred.
