Law enforcement described observing S1 take money from R1's purse. Law enforcement described a second video footage obtained which appeared S1 rummaging through R1's property inside of R1's unit. There did not appear to be anything stolen on that occasion. The police report detailed that S1 admitted to stealing from residents of the assisted living facility on three separate occasions. S1 explained that over the three separate occasions, S1 stole approximately $200. S1 reportedly could only remember the name of one specific resident whom S1 stole from, but could not remember any specific details about the others. As a result of law enforcement's investigation, S1 was arrested.
Therefore, the allegation of staff member stole money from residents is deemed substantiated. A finding that the complaint is SUBSTANTIATED means that the allegation is valid as the preponderance of the evidence standard has been met. A citation will be issued in accordance with Title 22, Division 6, Regulations.
Due to the facility no longer operating, a copy of this report was provided, along with a copy of LIC9099C, LIC9099D, and Appeal Rights were mailed to the Licensee's mailing address. |
